Youth Participatory Action Research

In cooperation with sociologists Szabina Kerényi, Katalin Horváth and Márton Obláth, Tacit Dimension developed the method of collaborative rapid street game design for Participatory Youth Action Research. The method allowed youth to engage with their urban environment and reflect on available resources (such as meeting places, sports facilities, and Wi-Fi access) as well as the social protocols and conditions for accessing them.

The project was commissioned by Operative Program for Societal Change of the Hungarian Government.

The documentation of the method was published in the methodological reader Bedö, V., Kerényi, S. and Horváth, K. (2016) ‘Részvételi játéképítés” [Participative Game Design], in Katalin Horváth, Márton Obláth (eds)’, in K. Horváth and M. Oblath (eds) A részvételi ifjúságkutatás módszerei [Youth Participative Research Methods]. Budapest: OKT- Full Tanácsadó Kft., pp. 160–176.
