[metaslider id=723]

Research workshop developed in cooperation with sociologists Szabina Kerényi, Katalin Horváth and Márton Obláth, commissioned by Operative Program for Societal Change of the Hungarian Government.

This workshop and connected publication aimed at developing a game design based social science method in the framework of the Youth Participative Action Research paradigm. The workshop was designed to identify what youth in suburban communities perceive as urban recourses and how they use these recourses (a.o. meeting places, sport facilities, wifi access points). The core principle of the method is that through co-designing urban games with the youngsters and reflecting about design decisions during the iterative process it becomes possible to reflect to above question on a very tangible and accessible level. Description and evaluation of this and other participatory methods will be published in an online publication.
